Hiya, what's your preferred name and pronouns, and whose country do you live on?

Hiii!! My name is Sena (she/her) and I reside on the stolen lands of the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung people of the Kulin Nation.

2. What's your rig rundown?
I originally started out using a Kodak FZ55 digital camera and occasionally a Sony hdr-cx405. But now I use a Canon EOS Kiss x5 with a Canon Zoom Lens EF-S 18-55mm and a Hoya pro1d digital 58mm mc pl-c.

My dad was a photographer years ago, so all the equipment I use is actually his old gear! My photography is pretty intuitive because I mostly just do what feels right. I’m still constantly learning and experimenting as I go, and I've really never approached it from a super technical standpoint.

I remember someone once asking me a detailed question about my camera and I just awkwardly admitted they probably knew way more about it than I did however, the conversation was wholesome and I actually learnt a couple new things :)

3. How did you get in to shooting live music?
I love live music, and I’ve always been the type of person who enjoys capturing moments whether they’re day-to-day activities or something exciting. I enjoy looking back at photos and reliving those moments (some could say I drown myself in nostalgia) so combining the two just felt really natural.

I started attending local shows at the end of 2023, but the first show I intentionally photographed was in September 2025 as an AmpedUp Freeza member, for a show we organised. It was an all-ages skramz show called Merri-Bek Meltdown #3 at The Graveyard in Coburg, and that experience made me realise how much I enjoyed photographing live music. I’ll always love and appreciate the community, energy, and emotion within local alternative scenes like hardcore and skramz.

4. What/who are some of your influences in photography?
I honestly feel like every photographer and videographer within the scene has inspired me in some sort of way. Photography and videography are so versatile, there’s so many ways to do things and each person does it differently. It’s an art form and I feel like all the works I see and consume subconsciously influences me one way or another.

Other influences on my photography would definitely be my friends, especially @throughfireandflame (a fellow videographer on instagram) for convincing me to just go for it, and my unbiological sister Vicky (@youthoftomorrowbookings) for always encouraging me to shoot the shows she hosts. I’m quite hesitant and shy behind the camera, always nervous that I’m in the way of others, so both of them have really helped build my confidence as a newer photographer.

My last influence would be the community overall. Anyone who’s ever spoken to me or interacted with my account, or seeing bands and people appreciate something I’m passionate about. It means the world to me and motivates me to keep creating.

5. Do you have a favourite show that you've photographed, or a favourite memory from a gig you've shot? Or maybe a particular favourite photograph that you've taken?
This is a hard question to answer because I could write pages upon pages in response however, St Albans Kids recently played an anniversary show at The Tote which I really enjoyed because it felt really united. It didn’t matter if you were part of the older or younger wave of skramz, everyone was there for the same reasons. People were looking out for each other, the energy was high, and it was clear everyone was just immersed with the music and having fun. I was able to get a couple shots of a few stage dives from the night and they're definitely amongst some of my favourites.

6. What else do you like to photograph outside of live music?
Outside of live music I love photographing my friends, experiences, scenery, my cat, anything that catches my eye, and just life in general :)

7. How can folks reach out to you if they'd like to get in touch?
I’m pretty active on instagram and my DMs are open, or my email senadcim@gmail.com
