1. Hiya, what's your preferred name and pronouns, and whose country do you live on?
My full name is Jordanna but Jordy is much easier, she/her, living on the land of the Bediagal people.

2. What's your rig rundown?
I am the most basic bitch out there shooting with two Pentax Espios of various models depending on which ones in my collection are working.

I always have one camera for black & white which is always Ilford XP2 and one for colour which is usually Kodak Ultramax 400 or 200. I always have at least 3 spare rolls with me and hopefully a couple of batteries because those go pretty quickly too.

3. How did you get in to shooting live music?
I grew up in the 90's so always had a little camera with me and was trying to do weird arty angles even then. After film kinda died out i dabbled with digital cameras but it just wasn't for me. It took nearly 20 years of me going to shows to finally just start shooting them and seeing what happened.

I love seeing people lose their minds watching bands they love play and trying to get my stupid camera to actually work and hoping for the best until I get my film back.

4. What/who are some of your influences in photography?
Nicole Goodwin (@nicolexgoodwin) is one of the most talented photographers I've ever seen. I lived in Melbourne for 12 years and spent all of that time in awe of her ability to capture the passion and movement of so many iconic hardcore bands.

I'm also really inspired by some of my fellow film nerds - Laura Avery (@urpainisminen0w) , Bea Ruby (@bearuby.film) and Maddi Cook (@legionsfan1996) . They all have this way of capturing tiny little moments that make me want to be better.

5. Do you have a favourite show that you've photographed, or a favourite memory from a gig you've shot? Or maybe a particular favourite photograph that you've taken?
My favourite show I've ever taken photos at was Turnstile at the Enmore in February 2023. Hands down the best lighting production I've ever seen and I just had to shove my camera above my head and pray. They turned out to be some of my favourite images. One of those shows that has the most immaculate vibes.

6. What else do you like to photograph outside of live music?
It's portraits of people I love, plus cemeteries and beaches. Not necessarily in that order but every time I go to a new cemetery to take photos I get inspired all over again.

7. How can folks reach out to you if they'd like to get in touch?
The best place to find me is on my instagram @jordytookthis :)
